DELICIOUS WINES

STRAIGHT FROM THE DUTCH CLAY

We are Jan Schake and Tieke Roosen.

In 2006 we started building Vineyard and Day Centre ‘De Amsteltuin’. Near the Amstel river, on the edge of the Bovenkerkerpolder in Amstelveen in an oasis of tranquility, lies the vineyard of 1.5 hectares. The town is a stone’s throw away. A unique location less than 500 meters from the A9 motorway. The vineyard attracts over 10,000 visitors each year.

As of 2008 we have had a harvest each year and produced some beautiful wines.
Meanwhile we have won lots of medals for our wines in wine inspections. Both our white wines have won silver medals for the past 2 consecutive years.
Together with a group of experienced volunteers and with the advice of oenologist Stan Beurskens, the vineyard is maintained and our wines are taken care of.

Every year, about 5,000 bottles are produced and sold on the Amsteltuin, but also by Henri Bloem, Albert Heijn van der Linden and Miltenburg and Rouhard.
The best taste however, is found on our sunny terrace. So come visit us!

Starting in 2017, the hop-on-hop-off bus from the Greater Amsterdam area, the Green Line, will stop on the Amsteltuin and Holland Wine Center.
